We are excited to announce Scout as the Sire to Rain's 2024 litter!
Scout is owned by Cory and Kay Donahue, owners of Goosetown Goldens.
Scout is intelligent, outgoing and social. Weighing in at around 65 pounds, Scout has an athletic body type with a thick, square conformation. His coat is a gorgeous dark gold that is wavy in texture. He has a strong work ethic and desire to please.
Kay describes him as "mid energy and high drive". Scout loves to work on and off the field as well as having a lovely off switch inside the house.
Scout has a beautiful pedigree full of proven field lines and hunting dogs.
He continues the pattern and lineage with his versatile accomplishments and titles. Scout has earned both his Junior Hunter and Senior Hunter title(SH). He participates in Dock Diving, having earned his Dock Junior and Senior title (DS).
The American Kennel Club also recognizes him as an Advanced Canine Good Citizen (CGCA), Trick Dog Novice (TKN) and Virtual Home Manner Adult (VHMA).
The Golden Retriever was bred to be a hunting dog.
Scouts owners and family took him out for his first hunting season this past winter and he radiated talent and joy.
The Golden Retriever Club of America awards Golden Retrievers who prove themselves to be hunting working dogs with a "Working Dog Certificate".
Scout has successfully earned this title (WC).
Versatility is one of our favorite things about this breed. Scout will bring beautiful physical features to this litter as well as produce well rounded, multi purpose puppies.

Rain is a Rivereed girl from our first litter who is a lovely mix of Reed and River.
She shows many attributes of both parents from her gorgeous physic to her great personality. She is an all around Golden who fit right into being a house dog. She loves attention and one on one interaction. She is a people pleaser who does her work with a lot of drive and excitement but has that beautiful off switch that she developed naturally.
She is very puppy like in her personality, being playful, outgoing and mischievous, but not stubborn. She loves learning new things, especially if it makes her handler happy.Rain was a perfect addition to our pack and really is an all around dog with that obvious "Golden" personality that we all love about the breed. Just like her parents, she is not a stranger to the bed or furniture.
Rain has earned her titles of Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Virtual Home Manners Adult(VHMA).
Rain has a lot of talent to offer and we are currently working on earning some obedience and hunting titles.
LITTER INFORMATION
Both sire and dam are health tested with current CHIC numbers.
The cost for a puppy from this litter is $2300.00.
In order to hold your puppy, a $300 non-refundable deposit is required as well as submission and approval of a puppy application. Deposits will ONLY be refunded if we cannot provide you with a puppy, or if we can not provide you with the sex of puppy that you are interested in. We will only be taking 3 male deposits and 3 female deposits before the litter is born. Once the litter is born we will take deposits on the sex of puppies that are available. Deposits may be sent via Paypal or Venmo. Preference will be given to performance or working homes. The remaining total of the puppy will be due at time of pick up.
Our puppies fall between medium and dark gold in color.
*We do not guarantee color.**We have the option of first pick from any litter.*
All puppies will be sold with AKC Limited Registration. This means that the puppy will be AKC registered but no future offspring of the puppy will be eligible for registration. Full registration will be available to those who complete all of the required OFA health testing and a full and complete Golden Retriever DNA panel. The requirements can be found under the "Puppy Contract" tab.
Once puppies have had a few days to settle in, and are warm and healthy, we will begin early neurological stimulation.
Puppies will be ready to go home at 8 weeks of age.
All puppies will be chipped with an AKC Reunite Microchip, be vet checked, dewormed, and have their first set of puppy vaccinations before they go to their new homes.
We do not remove their dew claws.
Puppies will be picked up from our home unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon. We will ONLY ship puppies by an air nanny that is agreed upon by both buyer and seller.
This litter is expected to be bred Spring of 2024 and Whelped Summer 2024.
